antelope
Antelope can be described as web content manager system with simple user interface and much clever way of designing pages than writing html code or visual editing. Like
wikipedia, antelope uses very simple style of writing (i believe this style is also reason why you can find there so massive amount of articles from so many different branches). For example if you want to create new web page, you can simply write page name to browser, type in your password if you are not logged in and start directly write page content. While saving, page is also converted to html code, which is not much interesting for casual user. This way, it's possible to very easily create pages and server don't suffer much while users browsing pages because they don't need to be converted each time to displayable form.
Many people need or want to create own web pages. There are many tools available to serve this purpose beginning from legendary Notepad from Windows, Vim, Word and it's really poor conversion to html, specialized desktop editors and ending with online content manager systems Wordpress, Drupal and such. Absolute majority of this programs suffer with flaws. Writing pure html code is slow and not much clean (although necessary sometimes), in addition for non technically focused folks it's unnecessarily tough. Desktop application often tries to mix visual editing with code writing. Unfortunately I haven't found an application which would do the job right (if it's possible at all). Very big disadvantage of desktop application is portability and unavailability to use them from anywhere (that's also why web management systems are developed so extensively recently). What about the rest? Web content management systems. You can choose from really wide spectrum of those applications. Each one solves the problem in it's own fashion, it's more or less demanding on user, and also it's usage depends on situation. Personally I have tried several tens of them from very small to sophisticated ones (and also very complex ones) and I have made a conclusion that it's better to write own one after all. The most annoying thing for me was that content management systems were either too bloated, cannot easily create pages or missed other features.

installation
- after downloading copy content of archive on the place of your web pages
- in config.php, there is necessary to set database login and set a passsword (hash can be computed with in the first page) for access to page editing.
- create database tables with sql command in config.sql
- good idea is to set permissions of folder files for writing for webserver, in case it's not already set
development
Antelope is in beta version stage right now. Several things like comments administration are missing. I hold in head many ideas for improvement of existing functionality. As time goes by I will be adding them. Other ideas, bug reports and constructive critique are welcomed.
